Hello all,
Here is New Zealand we have a lot of Jeeps, GMCs and commonwealth equipment. It seems that owners of original vehicles are starting to prefer to leave minor damage and evidence of corrosion in the vehicles to in a way prove the age and authenticity of a vehicle. this is because the repro parts are so good that is hard to tell originalsfrom repro over time.
it it the same in Europe or do they prefer "out of the box condition" restorations?
thanks MVNUT

Thanks Hans, looks like Ill have to get myself a V3000 to bolt on to the front of the tow hitch! I found this front hitch today in a box of Opel Parts. it went straight on to the 1944 Steyr front bumper. Is this universal as well?

No exactly what you are after but an interesting shot anyway. its very hard to find interior shots of any closed body truck. does the Opel van have a timber frame? Tacho is the rev counter gauge I think. cheers tony nz

Hello all, the new project arrived a couple of days ago. 1942 Typ 82 chassis number 2-013528 original motor number 2-015779 left the factory on 03.12.42 and sent to Flak Bestandelager, Halle body number 20083 The former owner had the car as far back as 1968 and the car has been untouched in storage for 30+ years. the chassis is grey. the inside of the cabin is grey but over sprayed in yellow. the first coat of paint seems to be a very very light "bone" yellow, even under the grey and no red oxide is seen anywhere on the car. the doors are dark yellow under the post war paint but there is grey under the tan on insides of the doors. It even retains its original front and rear noteks the pics show the grey under the dash. the pic of the door shows the very light yellow that is directly on the steel. the darker yellow is over that. any help with original parts, especially brakes, motor and gearbox parts is needed. its a long way to travel to swap meets from New Zealand. any comments on the car welcome. thanks tony nz

hello group
Im wanting to remake the side engine covers again from a thinner material.
could anyone help with heights and dimensions of an original L3000S louver? the louvers I have made are from a standard tool that is too high and too wide so there is not enough room for all 30 louvers in the panel.
thanks tony
