Hello all It would be nice to share any info on this particular model of French V3000S. I have one we are working on at the moment that is in very good condition and I would like to make comparisons with other trucks. The most notable difference from the German product is the width of the cabin at the hinge pillars, the shape of the door and the door pressings. the picture below is a good representation of what my truck probably looked like. the truck restored in the UK (now in Spain) also was green. any info would be handy. I have yet to find an image of the French trucks in service with the German Army. inerestingly my truck does not have the side vent on the cowl as seen on this truck and the post war F598T. thanks MVNUT

Hi there
what is the standard size for a lic plate. I want to make some for my kubel and the 44 Blitz will also need some.
also, did the Germans paint them on closer to the end of the war?
thanks MVNUT

Hi All thanks for the encouraging words Nick. I have sent you a PM. This certainly has been one of my better purchases and hopefully I can find more resto projects in this kind of condition. we have continued to study the Kubel. looking on Lomax Militaria web site for repro machine gun mounts I noticed something that may explain the welded up holes in the panel behind the stowage cover. Maybe a machine gun mount was located here. Is this a standard feature for a kubel from the factory or are they mounted after being allocated to a unit? is there anything else I should be looking for in relation to this? any replies would be helpful thanks Tony NZ Also, am I correct on thinking Flak Bestandelager, Halle could be a Luftwaffe Anti Aircraft Unit. Lastly, there is a blue thread in the fabric roof running parallel to the sewing seams. is this an indication of a original roof?
