Opel Blitz 1938 to 1942 with 16,410 examples made. Also made post war with some mechanical and styling changes. Obvious differences- earlier axles had small hubs and drums.(see pic- small drums on top big drums underneath) 6 heart shaped holes in the wheels Post war had heavy axles and 4 hole wheels not sure when the 6 hole oval wheels were made. any one know the styling changes- something about the grill and glove box?

You can also tell from rear wheel hub. On post-war the axle is bolted to the axle with a flange like most "normal" trucks, on wartime its only a center nut. The Opel on the photo also have tha post-war Opel grill shield. The "blitz" disapared after the war.... The doors also have a 90 degrees lower front corner on wartime, but are cut 45 degrees on post-war.
