There was still some off the same text on my Blitz , but not visible enough to put it back on.
Could the word be Bindesträger ?? means first-aid kit holder . It's lokated next to the rearwindow on the passengersside .

Selling for a friend , a very nice Opel Blitz 6700A. This vehicle was in a very good technical condition when bought, therefore the engine didn't need to be overhauled , only the clutch was, to be on the safe side ,replaced , as the total brakesystem. Diffs where checked and good. The Opel drives very nice . There are still a few things to be done about this car to make it perfect , all major parts are ok. If you can write / speak german send me a PM and i will get you in contact with the owner , otherwise i will relay the message. He's asking Euro 23.500 for this beautiful vehicle. Hans

The colour is original so to see and the dash is apart from some pushbutton next to the steering colomn very complete and original Haven't got any info on the war service except for the radiobody wich was fitted when the previous owner bought it. After the war the Blitz was used still as a radiocommunications vehicle in the Austrian army. It was demobbed in the early 60's i tought. The previous owner bought it in 1982 from a trader , when he got the vehicle home ( togeter with and another 4x4 Blitz , an original firetruck ( a bit modernized ) wich i had here briefly too!!) the radiobody was gone Even then i knew the Blitz already , it costed me 19 years until i could buy it. Underneath the green paint the original sandcolour was still there , like i wrote before , it was in pretty good shape !! The seller asked a very high price that time , now it would be peanuts for such a vehicle . About tyres , i wrote you long time ago i still could get them new , it are 8.00x 20 i think, altough it says 7.50 x20 on the tyre. Bought another second hand set because i couldn't fitt the double rearwheels. After searching for deeper rims for a while ( there are more than 8 different rims !!! ), i can fit them now , but i will drive the second hand for a while. Will ask the militairy vehicle dealer here in Holland if he still can deliver the new ones , if so i will anserw your question in the new tyretread . Hans.

Well , took me a while yesterday to scan the pics i had , computers !!!! Anyhowe , you c an see the basis was pretty good. Complete technical, but all the wood was gone , the whole body was kept together with nails. The engine was cracked in 2 places , so i had to find an other housing , the rest off the engine was like new ! The platework wasn't bad so that took not a big effort to restore. Only the woodwork costed me a lot off effort , never had done such a thing , but it's still together ! Then i left the project for a few years to work on other cars , then decided to finish the Blitz first. The rearbody is copied from an original body i measured , the hinges i had but where to short , perhaps from a 1,5 To ? So i made them new. The locks i had casted , wanted to have the Opel logo in ! The endresult you know. Hans.

Hi Wille , sorry for the late reaction , saw the tread is somewhat older. This aircleaner is from a Zuendapp KS 600 generator , had the same question when i found the same aircleaner on my Stoewer. lateron i got a picture off a KS 600 generator wich showed the aircleaner. Much later i got a KS 600 generator with the same aircleaner , so i'm pretty shure. Hans.

Hello Rolf, here another Blitz number for you , its a 4x4 6700A. Year : 1943 Chassisnumber : BR1Z15540 Took it to Beltring sucsessfully last weekend , its not finished yet but drives very good. Books about the Blitz are still obtainable in copy , got a workshopmanual and a partslist , they cost me an arm and a leg , but without these books restoring is more difficult Hans.
