Hello, My name is Terence Orme. Recently I just purchased a 1938 LKW. I believe that the previous owner had some correspondence here during the restoration of the car circa 2007. One man in particular that has been mentioned was named Paul Hawking. I am looking forward to further continuing correspondence about this vehicle. Regards, Terence

Hello Sir, I apologize for the late response. I was not sure if I was in the right place or not. It was a bit confusing going off the old posts. Yes indeed, this is Ron's old vehicle. I just purchased it from his wife a couple months ago. The last of his vehicles she had kept for about 12 years since his passing.
My Kubel collector friend in Michigan Dave Crompton, mentioned your name as a person whom had helped Ron with the restoration, so I am very glad to have contact with yourself as well as others here. The car faired quite well sitting for over a decade in a hot Ohio garage. I believe it was run about 6 or seven years ago by one of Ron's friends. All the fluids have been drained, except for the oil in engine. I'm new to lpkw's. I had a 44 Kubel and NZ 350-1 I recently sold. I do also have a 1940 MB 170v. Regular 4dr.
Yes, I do have some questions for you. I was not able yet to obtain any information from Ron's wife related to the car such as photos of car before or after restoration, manuals, nothing, just the car, so I'm flying blind....
I feel very fortunate to have this, it really is a spectacular restoration, at least observed from a layman like me.
Glad to be here.
Best, Terence
