Greetings, I would like to gather additional information about my Sd.Ah.25/2 Wehrmacht Signal Corps trailer as seen below. It was a Euro return to the US by a Provost officer assigned to Post War Germany. It looks like it has some fire brigade paint over the German Yellow/sea green spots camo. When pressure washing it about a year after I bought it I found hastily painted Allied stars on the side under several layers of paint Making this what I believe was "during conflict" captured war booty. I recently found a picture on the 3rd Amored site about one in use by a Command Halftrack. That picture is on their site here: Any information about the trailer or the type of Generator being used in it would be very helpful. Regards, Bill

Bill I have seen this trailer of yours on the GMC forum, but have not found any info on it. But did find one similare on an expiered e-aby photo. It is behind a Einheitsdiesel. And really like the picture of the comand half track! Only seen the Canadian command half track before.. Rolf

Thank you for the comments Rolf.
I am most interested to know if any Wehrmacht vehicle experts recognize the type of Generator in the trailer.
Was it a Wehrmacht unit. It does not look like any US unit I have ever seen.

Bill
The picture I showed is of a Wehramcht unit. It is a "Einheitsdiesel" truck very often used with the house type body, but also with gargobody.

Thank you Nick,
I used a Google translator which did not help as some of the words were not in the translators database.

Here we go:
(Trailer) Anhänger (single-axle) telephone line-layer trailer with telephone-kit for the fault finding squad/troop or troubleshooting teams . On the Compartment at the fittings were fastened: soil tamper, long spade shovel, hand digger and folding ladder. Inside the trailer was stored: two drums each with 250 meters of drunk wire, 16 porcelain double-bell insulators, one safety belt (for climbing), one set of crampon, and tools and some spare parts.

Hello, Well this is my first message to this forum, did find a link on the forum of the Dutch TWENOT. And this is the first postage that I did open. Well I can give a answer to the question about the generator it is a Zundapp engine that is driving the generator . The German indication for the set is Elektr. Machinensatz Evz 6D. It is also in use by thee german V-2 batterie placed in to the Steyr 2000 Spannungs versorgungswagen. The trailer that Rolf did post is a Sd.Ah. 23 and is a special trailer with for battery charging. It's a totaly differend chassis and body. The 25/2 is indicated in the trailer lis as (Anhanger (1achs)fur Nachrichtengerate) Greetings from the Netherlands Bert

Greetings to you all!
Thank you for the translation Amelinas. It is very much appreciated.
Also Thank you Bert. Very good information about the generator. The problem would be finding one here in the United States that matches that in the trailer.
It would be more appropriate for me to have it as a "captured" generator trailer for my Allied Living History displays.
My search begins!!!

hello bill. i can see that you are wondering about the what generator who was used in the trailer. it was a 600ccm zundapp engine on it, i have one in my collection, if you wants some pitures, i also have a different sd25 trailer, like the one behind the einheits diesel. and it has a different generator. it was used for charging batterys.
