Hi All Here is the latest update on the Kubel Rain water drain being welded in, this detail is often missed when restoring Kubels Rear inner structure, showing the wiring loom tube this was just before final welding of side panels. Starting to look like a kubel again, all rear panels and new windscreen supports have now been welded More pics to follow Regards Drew

Hi All With 90% of the body welded it was time to separate it from the chassis. The next thing to do is turn the body over to finish welding underneath. Regards Drew

Due to other projects, my Kubel is now for sale.
As you can see from this forum the vehicle has been carefully restored over the past 6 years but there is still work to do. The good news is that the real hard work has been done and done properly. I have retained as much of the original bodywork (dents bullet holes and all) as possible. The vehicle will be sold with the body finished, including original doors and wings, sprayed with correct camo. Original painted number plate on rear trunk will be left unpainted. Correct 1944 engine is included, dismantled, cleaned and carefully bagged. All parts including original tinware and cyclone airfilter are present. There is also a complete 1952 VW engine that can be used as a daily driver as original engines are becoming scarce. Original chassis has original gearbox but needs new floorpans, these are included but need welding in. All lights and complete dashboard are finished and ready to install. A new top quality wiring loom is also included. All parts to restore the cable brakes are also present. So in short this is a perfect short term project that will result in a very original finished Kubelwagen.
Price £32,000 ono I can be contacted at drew.s@inferno-group.com Regards Drew

Hi guys here's a quick update. When I bought the car the body number had been brazed over and the chassis number stamped on top. After very carful grinding I have now found the body number, it is 41665. The Kubel is still for sale so if you know of anyone who's interested they can email me at: drew.s@inferno-group.com Regards drew
