Hi Alex!
I have also some einheits Lkw parts like Werkzugkastens (under the flatbed) that I am thinking of making a small edition of repros of - this type of military einheits equipment where thrown away and scrapped after the war - when the trucks where "civilized", so they are very hard to find nowadays. How can I get in touch with you? If you mail administrator Rolf Sigurd Ask - You can get my mailadress!
Regards / Nick...

Thanks for sharing this story Alex!
Really inspiring! I have a Frenchbuild Ford V3000S, used by the Germans during the war, and I am searching for missing details! Do you by a chance know anyone with Lkw einheits boxes in spare?
Regards / Nick...

Hi Larry!
I have seen parts of your amazing photocollection on varius sites over the last years! Maybe you can help me out with a problem - I am doing research before restoring a Ford V 3000S, and I a looking for pics where you can see the shovelholder and clamp on the left side mudguard, and the pickax holder/clamp on the right side. The metalpart of the pickax is often held by a clamp mounted on the jerrycanholder, but I would like to see the other holder for the wooden handle of the pickaxe. If you have any good pics of this in your collection, please mail them under Ford V3000S LKW thread!
Kindest regards / Nick...

Hi Larry!
Thanks for responding! This is the same bracket as on the V 3000S - so this helps me a lot! Do you have any pics from the brackets for the pickaxe, on the other side? Thanks again / Nick...

This must be a Ford Type G 917T (4 cyl) or Ford Type G 997 (8 cyl), and with a body for the firebrigade, these bodys was often made by a local company. Note the wood-gas cooler on the back, if this is made by the firm Imbert, the whole truck can be made by Ford-werke AG in Köln. This firm also made Ford V3000s Lkw:s and Ford "maultier" during the whole war. Nick...

Hi Paul!
You are not being rude in any way - that is a good question, and I cant tell if this part is from a LePkw for sure - sorry! My interest was if the company was a known manufacturer of LePkw bodys - then this part maybe could be a bit in this puzzle. I found it among parts from varius german vehicles - so I cant say for sure where it belong. Thanks anyway!

Hello Pauli! A lot of very interesting information surfaced! I recently found the triangular leftside body part (between the doors) from a LePkw with this manufacturing plate - this must be one of the (13?) factorys that manufactured the bodys. Do you know if this company made the radio bodys as well? Kindest regards / Nick...

Thanks for the response Holger! So maybe I was not on that thin ice I thought! Nevertheless it is interesting to discuss a pic, it is like the old saying: one picture tells you more than a thousand words" - so true! Another thing Holger - have we been in contact before about a einheits radiocabin and tires for LKW? Nick...

It looks like the registration plates says WH, so they must be Wehrmacht. I read somewhere that the Hungarian (Rumanian?) army bought Type 40 as well (thinking of the uniforms of the drivers) so a wild guess could be that the vehicles had german plates during transportation? (I know, this is a weak point of view, ha)
