The only pictures of this car I have are the ones from Werner Oswald's 1979 printed "Kraftfahrzeuge und Panzer der Reichswehr, Wehrmacht und Bundeswehr" , page 75. It is the car from your fist photo - I love the 4 color camo.

Perfect! After color analysis in the laboratory of an original ammunition box , the color is mixed . The paint in RW bright colors camouflage can start . Perfekt! Nach Farbanalyse im Labor von einer original Munitionskiste ist die Farbe gemischt. Die Lackierung in RW Buntfarben-Tarnung kann starten.  |

 Delivery specifications for all Kübelwagen... In camouflage the wheels in one color ( brown or green ) should be deleted . Liefervorschrift für alle Kübelwagen... Bei Tarnung sind die Räder nur einfarbig ( braun oder grün) zu streichen.   |

Some days it will take . Test drive in the fall . Currently upholstery seats . The voltage increases!
Einige Tage dauert es noch. Probefahrt im Herbst. Aktuell Polsterung Sitze. Die Spannung steigt!

Hello!
The word "deleted" is a wrong translation, because the word "streichen" has two meanings in Germany.
The correct translation would be:
"Delivery specifications for all Kübelwagen... In camouflage the wheels should be painted in one color ( brown or green )"

By specification all wheels should be in one colour (when came in multicolour, when turning the wheel is more visible than in one colour) but on the field the specifications weren't always respected as you can see in many pictures, and the wheels where camouflaged as the rest of the vehicle.

Final after 4 years of construction. A positive coincidence - produced on 15.10.1934 and on 15.10.2017 first exit after restoration. On the day exactly 83 years later in original factory execution and in original RW colored. Probably the most beautiful caravan of the Wehrmacht and the only specimen worldwide is back on German roads. Finale nach 4jähriger Bauzeit. Ein positiver Zufall - am 15.10.1934 produziert und am 15.10.2017 erste Ausfahrt nach Restauration. Auf den Tag genau 83 Jahre später in Original Werksausführung und in original RW Buntfarbtarn. Der wohl schönste Kübelwagen der Wehrmacht und das einzigste Exemplar weltweit ist zurück auf deutschen Straßen.    |
