Almost done restoring my Mercedes 170VK Kübelwagen, but need close-up photos showing the storage box next to the rear seat. Its the same as Le.gl.Einh.Pkw Stoewer, Hanomag and BMW. quote] Erik, Did you find some more pictures?? If so can you share Cees

Thanks Paul, As I see they cahnged it in 1939/1940 to Volkswagen G.m.b.h. (Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung) it is from that time a Volkswagen company and not a Kdf company anymore. Is this correct Cees

Why is every body talking about KDF cars if they mean WW2 Volkswagen cars I never saw a identification plate on a kubel or a Schwimmwagen with KDF it is always Volkswagenwerk G.m.b.H.. KDF means Kraft durch Freude. It was only used for buildings and vessels ?
