This VW 166 is a interesting restoring candidate and is a part of the Museum Bad Oeynhausen/Germany.

The Schwimmer was on loan at the Nationaal Oorlogs- en Verzetsmuseum in Overloon/Netherlands for a couple of years and they had done some restorations over the years.

The vehicle will be completly restored next time.

I saw it a few years ago (there were no numbers on it) and know it went somewhere else. For the restorers it would be very interesting to search for the Fahrgestellnumber on the left frame which was not visible at that time. I think the car is from 1944.

It would be very interesting to know what the museum knows about its history. At that time the Dutch museum couldn't help me with that.
