I have a Ford V8 3,923 liters flathead car or truck engine. It has cylinder liners (Zylinderlaufbüchsen) and is made in Germany during the period 1939-45. Ford engine blocks were mainly produced by Eisenwerk Brühl GmbH outside Cologne. On engines built in Brühl there is, in the "bell-housing" casting above the clutch, their logo with the initials EB. On the engine that I have, there is in the rear of the engine over the clutch the capital letter H with two dots in the casting. The block was originally labeled G99T which since has been ground away and replaced with S99T. I'll send some link addresses to my pictures.
