Hello, I am restoring a Ford v3000s and I'm looking for an Anhängekupplung/tow coupling. From the photos I can find it seems there were 2 types used by the Germans and some people/books seem to catorgarize them as early and late types. I have a few questions I hope you can answer: If they where early and late types when was the late type introduced and when was the early type phased out if at all? Or where there different types for different towing weight limits? Or where there different types for different vehicles? Or where there simply different subcontractors and vehicle manufacturers got what ever was available at the time they needed them? Lastly which one would be suitable for a 1943/44 v3000s? Early? Late? If anyone has wartime photos of the tow coupling on a ford v3000s I'd love to see them as the only photo's I can find are of restored vehicles. Looking forward to some answers. Kind regards, Jason

Hallo Jason, I think the one you call the early type is the most common. I have Ford Maultier and Ford 4x2 -1943 both with this early type. And I haven't seen wartime photos of Ford with this late type. Regards Wilhelm

Wilhelm, Thanks for posting the pics, that is pretty much what I thought too, I've not seen a photo of a ford 3 ton truck with the other type of kupplung. Now I just have to find one! I would love to see some more photos of your Ford truck, I'll send you a PM with my email address. Thanks for your help. Kind regards, Jason
