Hello all I found this interessting offer! I know ,its a Henschel G33 and a Bilstein crane, but is this combination a real ? used like a standart wrecker in the WH? or is it "only" a vision of a modern modelmaker? Is there more Informations/pic? best regards Henning Attachments:

Hello A picture with my last found. Gearbox. It was in December 2010 in Latvia. At first I thought it has very much corrosion, but after washing it with high pressure water it started to revolve! [a href="http://mb3.live.hot.ee/rps/D/2066634.JPG "]http://mb3.live.hot.ee/rps/D/2066634.JPG [/a] I disassembled it for fine cleaning and replaced only one bearing. Other bearings were in rather good conditions. On gears surfaces there are some corrosion damages but nothing serious. We just keep the front part of frame of one with front axle (but no steering ) and wheels and the ketten that could be used on the rear wheels, maybe also the electric starter (must have type to be sure) Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Hello I asked my father about the Henschell.
He said that while he was driving on the road to Paris, a car stopped him. The driver explained that Ms. Henschell was in the car. They went to a salon (auto show in Paris?) He explained that the factories producing again and gave a phone number to call for replacement parts! It was around 1946/47
He also explained the particularity of wheels: the two parts (rim and circle) are held together only by the two bolts on the wheel hubs. To remove the wheel inflated, you have to climb three clamps to maintain the rim and the circle before removing the bolts on the hub. Then you turn the wheel to make the openings face the arm hub.
To get an inflated spare, we must keep the two parts with the same clips.

Hallo Pat, Her is the clamp - the tool your father need for the rims Yes, in 1947 there was spare parts available. And still there was some of this vehicles on the road. The one I have was in use until late fifties, they use it for transport of a bulldozer! Wilhelm Uploaded with ImageShack.us
