Have this road-wheel, same size as for the 1-toner D7. Can anyone tell me which type of 1-toner half-track this comes from? Or if it is an early/late type? Sigve CONTINENTAL 550/45-487,5

I'd say it is from all Demag's 1 tonners. And guess it is an early one since it is a cast wheel, and later came the pressed ones... Have many photos showing both types of wheels. Can't remember where the photo comes from, but probarbly long gone e-bay auction. And once again, done the wheel change in a few minutes so not exactly done... Rolf

It certainly is no cast wheel. It is the early type of wheels whose production ceased during 1939. They were too weak because they lack the strengthening ribs, and eventually breaks near the hub because of sideways strain. The only 1-tonners which never were equipped with these I guess were the Saurers since Saurer started manufacturing after all the others.
