Hello,
I just posted my first reaction on this forum in reaction of a question about a trailer with a generator. Think that it is a good idea to have a forum dedicated to the soft top vehicles of the German war machine. I'm very intrested in the soft top vehicles and have as specialization the vehicle train of the GERMAN V-2 ROCKET.
Gld to be on board.
Greetings from the Netherlands
Bert

Hello , after reading this forum i liked to be a member too , but i'm not getting an activationcode. Haven't got a strainge e-mail adress or any other problem at other forums. Already tried several times without succes. Did any of you had any problems to get the activation code ? , or am i doing something terribly wrong. Computers are not my thing , Wehrmachtvehicles are Best regards Hans.

Please try again. If you still have problems, I'll try to sort it out. It might be that the registration was dissabled...

Hi Rolf and everyone I recently found this forum and from the posts I have read it appears to be a great place. My interests include collecting German WW2 engine and vehicle manuals and corresponding photographs with a view to publication. At the moment I am working on a book on the Heer Pioneers (Army Combat Engineers) and the use of the “Brückengerät B” system (pontoon bridging system). I would love to get into restoration. I am very impressed and inspired by the member posts here. I look forward to the future here. Regards from Ireland John

Hi John and welcome ! Do hope you will enjoy this site and all the good folks in here. Here is a picture from my collection that should interest you. The truck is a Hänschel 33D1. The trailer I am sure someone else can identify Rolf

Nice Picture Rolf It appears to be a 16-ton pontoon bridge using double or full pontons (Two pontoons attached end to end with the bridge on top of the join). Although from the angle of the pic I can't see the twin pontoon sections sticking out the other side of the bridge. If they are only single pontoons it would be a 8-ton bridge.
Regards John
