Sturmgeschütz III Ausf. E

This Stug was recovered from a lake near Leninrad now St. Petersburg/Russia in 1990.

Panzer III Recovered from a Trainings Ranch in Germany

The Stug and the Panzer III is a part of the collection from the Motor Technica Bad Oeynhausen/Germany. Will post some pictures from the recovery of the Stug later.

Nice piece of equipment ;)
What plans is made for them? To be fully resotored or as display?

It was "found" 3 Panzerkampfwagen III N in Bardufoss in Northern Norway in 2006.
Well they had been known since the war. They was dug in to be part of the deffence of Bardufoss Airfield.
I think all 3 of them has been dug up now, and I also think they was to be restored in Germany.
Only hope they all comes back to Norway when finnished.

I did not find any pictures at the moment, but I am sure someone else in here have some and can show them.

After 50 years back at home again/Arrival in Germany

These picture was taken with the arrival of the Stug at the port of Rostock/Germany. Note the Russian Military Truck at the left corner on the picture. During the Stug comes home to Germany from Russia, the Russian troops leaves (East)-Germany for to go back to Russia....

Two recovery tanks plus a heavy crane was needed to bring them back to the light of the day.....

It became finally time that these rare "Big Cat" comes out of the water

The turret was burst open by the crew and exploded at the back of the turret.

I've shot this pictures during what we called a Tank-Hunting-Tour. I recall that both of the shot's were taken in 1990 but I've to be empty of where it was :-X :-X :-X ;)

Kleine erganzung zum StuG aus Lenningrad und Panther photos. :)

StuG war gefunden im Fluss Orielez im St. Petersburg umgebung. Polnische team von Warschau hat diese bergung gemacht mit hilfe von Russische Truppen. Verkauft nach Deutschland spater.

Panther Panzer kommt aus Fluss Czarna Nida neben Kielce (Polen). Dann vielmal verkauft, jetz endlich im USA im J. Littelfeld sammlung, im restaurierung. Das hat das selbe Team gemacht vie beim StuG.

Bis jetz haben diese leute zahlreiche Fahrzeuge gefunden, zb. Sdkfz 251 aus Pilica Fluss, StuGIII aus Niedzwiedno See, Panzer III fragmente aus Wkra Fluss und viele andere im Polen.

Und Panzer III "somewhere in Russia" kommt aus Fluss Bug im Ukraine. Jetz auch im Ukraine im Freilichtausstelung beim Panzertruppen Schule.
