That is the Hf.1 (Heeres feldwagen 1) or the Light Field wagon model 1, it was in use in many roles but mainly by the Infanterie, one in every Inf. Platoon and Kompanie level to transport the troops packs, rolled greatcoats and blankets when not used, thermos containers for hot food and extra rations, the Platoons spare ammo was carried in two If.8 cards linked together and pulled by one horse. Nice info. Have never been looking into all thsi equipment before... But how did thid cope with the blitz krieg? All the equipment arrived a week later I asume???

Horse drawn equipment must have been in production threw most of the war Here are a set of wheels made by "bwh" in 43 Sigve
